Kinhop Terms of Use
Welcome to Kinhop. By signing up for or using Kinhop, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. Please read them first. If you don't agree, please don't use Kinhop.
1. What Kinhop is
Kinhop is an app for families and friends planning trips and events together: create events, build a schedule, invite people, send changes and see who has confirmed, chat in groups or privately, and share an album. People without the app can view their own schedule and confirm on the web through a personal link from an organizer. We keep improving Kinhop, so features may be added, changed, or discontinued.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 13 to create an account. If you're under the age of majority where you live, you need your parent's or legal guardian's permission to use Kinhop. Kids without an account can be added to an event by a guardian (see section 5).
- Use your own name, or a name people will recognize, when you sign up. Don't impersonate anyone.
- Keep your sign-in method (Sign in with Apple, or your email and password) secure. You're responsible for what happens under your account. If you think someone else is using it, contact us right away.
- You can delete your account at any time in Me → Delete Account. See our Privacy Policy for what's deleted and what stays.
3. Your content
- You own the messages, photos, videos, files, comments, and event details you add to Kinhop.
- So that Kinhop can work, you let us store, process, transmit, and display that content to the people you choose (members of the same event, the person in a private chat, or people you send a personal link to). This includes creating thumbnails, removing location data from photos, and converting videos. We don't use your content for ads, and we don't sell it.
- Make sure you have the right to share what you post. Before adding information about someone else (like a phone number, or adding a kid to an event), get their permission, or their guardian's.
4. What's not allowed
When using Kinhop, you may not:
- Post illegal content, or use Kinhop for anything illegal.
- Harass, threaten, bully, discriminate against, or impersonate others.
- Post sexual, violent, graphic, or hateful content, or any inappropriate content involving minors.
- Post content that infringes anyone's copyright, trademark, likeness, or privacy.
- Send ads, spam, scams, or malicious links.
- Collect other people's personal information without permission.
- Interfere with, attack, or get around Kinhop's security, or use automated means to access the service at scale.
We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Touch and hold a message or comment to report it, or open a photo and tap ⋯ to report it. You can also block someone from their profile card. When you block someone, their content disappears from your view right away, they aren't notified, and we receive a record of the block. We review every report within 24 hours: content that breaks these rules is removed, and accounts that post it or harass others are banned. A block on its own doesn't mean someone broke the rules; we look into it before taking action. Where required by law, we cooperate with law enforcement.
5. Kids
A guardian can add a kid who doesn't have a phone as a member of an event and confirm changes for them. Kids don't have accounts; we store only the name the organizer enters and who their guardian is. Guardians are responsible for their kid's information in the event.
6. Intellectual property
Your license to use the Kinhop app is governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. The Kinhop name, logo, and design belong to the Kinhop developer. Don't copy, modify, sell, or reverse engineer Kinhop, except where the law expressly allows it.
7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
- Kinhop is provided "as is." We work hard to keep it reliable, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free, or that every notification will reach everyone on time. For important changes, check who hasn't confirmed and follow up with a call.
- Events themselves (trips, gatherings, and so on) are arranged by and are the responsibility of their organizers and members. Kinhop is a tool to help you communicate.
- To the extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of, or inability to use, Kinhop.
8. Ending these Terms
You can stop using Kinhop and delete your account at any time. If you break these Terms, we may remove your content or suspend or ban your account. If we stop offering Kinhop, we'll let you know in the app in advance.
9. Apple
Your license to use the Kinhop app is governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These Terms cover your use of the Kinhop service (your account, your content, and the rules above) and are between you and the Kinhop developer. Apple isn't a party to these Terms and isn't responsible for the Kinhop service or its content. If these Terms and Apple's agreement conflict about the app license, Apple's agreement applies. If you downloaded Kinhop from the App Store, Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions also apply.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have jurisdiction over any disputes relating to these Terms.
11. Changes and contact
If we make important changes to these Terms, we'll let you know in the app. If you keep using Kinhop after that, you agree to the updated Terms. If Kinhop is later operated by a company, we'll let you know in advance and update these Terms. Questions? Email support@kinhop.app.
